Your post reminded me of seeing Sammy on this tour. 1987, we showed up 2 hours before the show with no tickets went to the window and got 2 in the 7th row center. Score. Good show. But he played i can't drive 55 twice in the same show.

At Saint Arnold Brewery...

First up is their new...appropriately titled West Coast IPA. Which is fantastic, I'll be reviewing it over at NBW when I get a chance.



Then Fish & Chips with Christmas Ale...not on cask unfortunately...they say one will be on in a couple of weeks...which is always fantastic. This is essentially a slightly modified Old Peculiar Old Ale, so its always great for me

Sipping what is probably my favorite holiday season brew!

 

After Saint Arnold, I wandered down the road to a dive bar...called The New Potato

Live Oak Hefe in the glass...kind of a dirty glass and flat pour...but what do you expect from a dive bar


Then on over to see Dis-Missed an "Avant Garde Opera" which was amazing. My friends put on this wacky "opera" based on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud. But with free jazz and opera singing ha. All the music was free jazz improvisation, and the singers both singing opera to the Lama/Drake feud lyrics ha.

 

Cooking a marinade for tomorrow’s dinner, and drinking the cooking beer.


We lost my wife’s brother overnight. Late 40’s, three kids, youngest was 17, his daughter gave him his first grandkid this summer. This came out of nowhere.

I think the only time he and I ever bonded over music was the night we just kept throwing Dave Matthews Band at each other around the fire while smoking cigars and drinking.

Thanks for everything, Jerry. I’ve known you since you were an 11 year old punk. I’ll miss you.
