Michigan Women's team started rough then made it a game at the end. Tough going against UConn but they ended up making it a battle. Hopefully the football team has a breeze of a game tomorrow.

Finished a couple pours of bourbon. On to the only beer for tonight - Flying Buffalo Stroopwafel from Griffin Claw. The best smelling beer I've had all year. Pretty sweet - caramel for sure mixed with the barrel. Dont really get any cinnamon and maybe a hint of coffee. Really good but the smell - ermagerd. Like you're in a Danish bakery.

I see many beers posted here and my local shop carries them, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Might sneak up there this weekend if the honey do list isn’t too long.

 

BA Betsubara collab among Other Half, Side Project, and Xul. Killer flavors. Crazy barrel presence. All of the OH collab stouts have been amazing this year, a real treat because I often find their stout game and barrel program to be more miss than hit.

The Pineapple Headband with Forager is a whack-ass profile but maybe my favorite. The Other Observation with Bottle Logic is vanilla decadence with superb mouthfeel, and even the Velvet Magnum with Burial fires on all cylinders, even with my nemesis, cinnamon. This month my stout budget has been Other Half heavy, steering away from the pricier Mortalis offerings.

 

Man that dog is awesome!!!!

Great use of cinnamon. Subtle heat and just enough sweetness.
