Lakefront: BLACK WHEATWINE ALE Aged in Brandy Barrels, I find this beer to be very interesting even thou it may not be all that great and/or I may not even like it

No Five Year stout this year, I have one can left of 2024 that I may drink thanksgiving day or on Black friday if I don't go. If the roads are slippery/snow storm, I am out. This beer has been very good the last few years.

This is interesting too: This year, for the regular Black Friday™ and the coffee & chocolate variant, we used Great Lakes Distillery barrels. These barrels were originally bourbon barrels that we previously used to age Black Friday™ stout in; Great Lakes then filled them with a straight whiskey, using them for a finishing barrel that aged an extra two years. So these barrels held whiskey twice and now have held Black Friday™ twice.

Drank a 2022 Lakefront Black Friday Double Barrel Barleywine this weekend while cashing in that extra hour of sleep. Held up very well. Looking forward to the wheatwine and coffee variants. The Black IPA has always awesome when opened fresh.

The Central Waters Ice Wine Barrel aged English Barleywine sounds interesting too. But I might love it or hate it. ya wouldn't know unless you try it.

Plenty of interesting beers on the way.
I want more barleywines coming out of Milwaukee land. Ope! was solid last year.

Central Waters is now Central Waters Brewing and Distilling. They're dropping their first bottle of bourbon on Black Friday. $50 per bottle, no limits.
