Have a Good Thursday BA, and Happy Thanksgiving to the US users. We drove for 7 hours up to Ohio for the weekend once again. Going to make sure and grab a 12 pack of Head Hunter soon. We listened to 2/3 of Revolusi: Indonesia and the Birth of the Modern World by David Van Reybrouck. It's the best history book I've ever read 6/5. Now I know why all the bamboo munitions videos I see on reddit exist. The japanese occupation was brutal. He is a Belgian Historian and Archeologist. I need to read his book on Congo for sure. Dinner at the Galaxy at 1PM, my BIL got covid so my sister's family not going to be there

Just up watching Adult Swim. Morel Orel, Rick and Morty, and Futurama. Finally got a new Smok tank, the Horizontech one I had won't come apart, but this one leaks a little. Oh well. 8/20/2025 New Belgium Tropic Force. These stovepipes, I always come back to regularly, love the whole series, very dank and juicy at the same time. Resinous finish.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who replied to my post yesterday. It was meant to honor my father, who passed on Thanksgiving, for anyone who may have missed seeing it — and your comments really meant a lot.

Holidays can stir things up, but hearing from folks who’ve walked similar paths made the day feel a little lighter.

Cheers to all of you, and hope the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend treats you well.

 

Well, my boss (wife) has been complaining about all of the beer in the kitchen fridge, so I thought that I would help alleviate said “problem “ last night.

Settling in with anticipation for the Macy’s Parade and cinnamon rolls, my favorite Thanksgiving tradition. Perfect beer for the occasion.

 

Hell yeah! It's not Thanksgiving if I dont listen to Alice's Restaurant at noon.

Still catching up on the long thread from yesterday, but just wanted to say cheers to honouring your Father, you and your family. I took a chance and ordered Celebrator yesterday on draft, and it tasted the best I can recall it, so I ordered two.

I'm waiting until someone opens New Beer Weekend (Mods, @Todd , let us know if today is Ok), or perhaps I'll throw caution to the wind and open it this evening, but I'll raise a toast him later today.

Also, still enjoying your Peru trip pictures @The_Kriek_Freak , and I agree with your disappointment in this year's Gravedigger Billy @Resistance88 , rating it 3rd of 3 among the November releases. I was really looking forward to it after the great batches from a few years back.

Thank you so much — that really means a lot. And I’m glad nobody minded the follow-up post about my dad. I just wanted to honor him on the day he left us — his military service, his strength, and honestly just the fact that he was a really cool father.

This community’s been nothing but supportive.
