Still recovering from the first snowfall of the fall, although it's snowed here on Halloween several years ago. My front yard is still full of trash from the bathroom remodel we timed to occur while we were in TX. New bathroom looks good - whatever Mrs. Lizard wanted.
Today I'm scheduled to buzz my head again and feed Lucky, the snapping turtle I'm supporting in a rented house - Mrs Lizard pays the gas bill and I cover the electric - poor Lucky has been traveling between houses for about 20 years - maybe next year I can finally rehome her.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



BCBS Cherries Jubilee Cask Finish Stout from Goose Island Beer. One order of Bourbon Country Superior Collection 2025, ordered 16/11/25 from Half Time, received 29/11/25, $ 233.19 (including tax)/$ 1.62/fl oz. Reviewed 03/12/25, review 3647.
Final impression and summation: 4 Another average decent but overpriced American Imperial Stout from Goose Island. No barrels tasted, undoubtedly too subtle for my plebian tastes.

Jjjuicyy machine, ipa, tree house. A pungently juicy feel w/ big ripe citrus notes- I mostly get grapefruit and melon. Decent stuff,

 

Today, it's cool outside but very pleasant, out here in McGregor--and both cats Gracie and Sundae are out helping me investigate today's new brews: First, it's my seventh beer from Toronto, Ontario's Left Field Brewery--their 6.7% Frozen Rope IPA. It's with Sundae...

Finally for today, with Gracie, it's my fifth beer from Little Current, Ontario's Manitoulin Brewing--their 5% Twin Bluffs Vienna Lager...

Tomorrow: Three more new beer experiences, from the following breweries:
--Lightcaster Brewery (Oshawa, Ontario; my fifth of their wares);
--MERIT Brewing (Hamilton, Ontario; my tenth); and
--Prince Eddy's Brewing Co. (Picton, Ontario; my sixth)...

Right along here ba. My gf’s father brought a full 12- pack of these over, for turkey day, and proceeded to drink two. My gf claims she’ll drink them which means they will likely still be in the fridge come next years turkey day…

Pulled this big stout out of the cellar, from now defunct R. Shea brewing in Akron - 2 years old and tasting nice - albeit a bit sweet for my tastes!

Back to hop juice ba. Brighter than starlight, dipa (citra, Nelson, galaxy), tree house.
Very clean and subtle hop points. Extremely balanced w/ no flavor to overpowering. Nice stuff,
