Sierra Nevada Celebration (6.8% canned 10/3/2025): An IPA from California with Cascade, Centennial, Chinook for flavors of soapy orange, pine resin, and a smooth caramel malt body.
versus
Great Lakes Christmas Ale (7.5%): A Winter Warmer from Ohio with flavors of orange spices, cinnamon, gingerbread, and glazed cherries and cinnamon rolls.

Sort of a quasi beer battle, a premonition. I'm drinking this separately but now having the idea should do this battle with two holiday beers, I think fair even though they are different styles. Casually drinking these and all I can say is both are drinking swell.

Back home now with another Beaver Island beer. For the longest time I just could not recommend them because they were making bad beer. That has changed for the better in the last couple of years, and they're making good beer now. I am happy to go there and recommend their beer.

 

Still can't get that beer in CT.
