I'm in the Eastern US time zone, which is five hours behind the site's time. I noticed this when any beers I rate are dated the following day if I enter them after 7PM. This should not bother me or any other well-adjusted human being. But then I saw that I could update the time zone in my profile. Huzzah! My beers will be rated on the correct days. But they're not. I just rated a beer and it's dated December 6th. As of this moment, it's 8:02PM December 5th where I live. And no one should care! I certainly don't care! Why should I? I'm not crazy! Why are you looking at me like that?!? I'm not asking for a fix. Unless, you know, there's a minor thing I can click or tweak. I fully deserve any and all ridicule. Cheers.
I find this to be a very reasonable reason to unload an automatic gun in a fast food restaurant at 11:34AM.
I've noticed this too. Not sure there is anything we can do, and yeah it probably shouldn't bother us. When I'm signed in I see my joined date as October 29, but when I sign out and the timezone is the standard UTC or whatever it is, it shows October 30. Same thing happens here with reviews after 7pm EST showing up as the next date. It's good to remember this is an international website on the World Wide Web and not just a national or regional website. This is bigger than US.
Anybody like the glory days of radio? I like this book-- Two O'Clock, Eastern Wartime. Oh, the connection with beer? yes, of course, I'm just about to post a -- dang it, dropped the church key-----
Sounds like you're referring to the date displayed when viewing your list of rated beers. If that's the case, those dates are display as UTC (server time).
A classic! Michael was quite something then, more recently saw him playing in Ant-Man; normally not my kind of movies but enjoyed it still.
