Full review linked above, full New Beer Sunday #1085 treatment linked here. Bottom line, these were brewed by New Realm, and it’s that expected quality I am enjoying with this one. A traditional WCIPA offering, a little malt but expected with the Imperial fuel involved. Nice pine bitterness, some citrus and grapefruit. A traditional well brewed offering.

Congratulations @jzeilinger and all other fans of the Cream and Crimson. What an amazing season, and hope they bring home as championship!

Today's New Breakfast Beer is one I stumbled over while shopping at HEB last month:



BCBS Brand Two-Year Cask Finish Stout (2023) from Goose Island Beer. Single 16.9 fl oz bottle picked up at HEB #2, New Braunfels, TX, 13/11/25, $ 44.36 (including tax)/$2.62/fl oz. Reviewed 07/12/25, review 3651.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 I’m not a fan of beers aged in wine barrels, but in this case, I’ll make an exception, port being the only wine I actually enjoy (after college years of Boone’s Farm, Annie Bedsprings, and Mad Dog). Here the port barrels offer a finishing tang to offset the inherent bourbon sweetness. This bottle is two years old but has aged nicely.

Now doing some morning shoveling. Later today, we’re doing our annual tradition of seeing The Nutcracker at my wife’s college alma mater and then dinner at a great hole in the wall Italian joint nearby. So glad my father in law is joining us this year. Cheers, all.

Some of us may be late to the party, but that’s okay, because we fucking got there eventually. Easily my favorite album of the year.

Hello BAs! Stupid cold here now. Sunny and 3F with a wind chill that feels like a temp of -12F. Can't do shit outside except rictus & die in 15 min. Decided to add demo/new flooring to the little bsmt abyss room remodel project. It's ugly. Horrible in fact. This job is an expandable hole-filler. Perhaps I should install a sunken two level bath tub or a vintage Japanese garlic misting booth? Maybe just turn it into a loading dock for all the fecking SN Celebration I stock up on. Well, then it must be time for a beer! Shouldn't be working today anyway on our day of the load lord...the dark lord Cheers!! with some Wisconsin almond kringle!
