I am not sure I can get down with a Sega Genesis metalcore version of possibly the greatest black metal song ever written, but I do hope that cover song introduces a new audience to Dissection's Storm of the Light's Bane album. It could change people's lives.

Cheers! and Happy Weekend BAs. All these brews I see here make me thirsty! I've always liked this beer. It hit shelves here a while back but I had other beers on the agenda. It's a very consistent beer each year. The local stalwart Summit Winter Ale enjoy by 3/20/26. A dark, nutty brauzinskie.

 

It's warmed up to a balmy -5 here in central Minnesota, AKA The Frozen Tundra. Might as well start off with a heavy hitter.

My day started early, with a 730 am drive to a local vineyard and hard cider place I like - they were looking for volunteers to pick their last grape harvest for an "ice wine" they make most years - freaking cold and windy, and a snowstorm on the way, but 5 of us got 'er done! Cool beans ....I may get a free bottle or 2 of their ice wine once it is ready in 12-18 months! Ha!

Now this to warm me up!

Meatballs are done, smoked with apple chips to an internal temp of 142. Of course the sidekick is a Jai Alai.
