Good Sunday afternoon, BAs. We received 3-4" of snow overnight and it is blustery with wind chills in the single figures. A good afternoon to savor a BA Stout - Kane Brewing's A Night to End All Dawns - Tiramisu (2025), one of the variants in this year's ANTEAD release. Aged in bourbon barrels with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, dark roast coffee, and Graham Crackers. I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers!

3 Floyds Arctic Panzer Wolf DIPA. This one is 10 days fresh. Some fond memories of this one in bombers back in the day. Navel orange, orange marmalade, yellow grapefruit, white peach, mango flesh and peel, orange and grapefruit peel, big pine resin, black pepper. Sweet bready and biscuit malts try to balance it out, but the finish brings an intense dry pine resin, hop spice, and citrus peel bitterness. Classic 3 Floyds right here.

 

Next up is Celebration. Superb!

 

Hey. I'll have another Fair State. It's really sad that they had to close the taproom and I honestly do hope they find another facility. They should look in Anoka Co. as they were already so close to it. Hennepin Co. is tax tax tax. MPLS proper (city limits) have even higher taxes for some stuff.
Anyhoo, this is a pretty good beer for its style. With the exception of one fake, bogus reviewer that rips on the beer and BOTH brewers, All Grey Everywhere is lookin' good as a seasonal release. I hope more folks can find it and share their thoughts. Cheers!!

 

Founders CBS, 11.7% ABV. I rated this 4.6 back in 2017. Chili in the crock for supper, while we watch the Packers.

 

1) Magnify Disco Fries (8.5% no canning date): A NEIPA from New Jersey with Citra, Motueka and Nectaron for flavors of herbal pine, orange citrus, some peach.
versus
2) Mortalis Ceres (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Simcoe, and NZ Mega Terps for flavors of lemon/lime, pineapple, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Magnify versus Mortalis IPA Battle. First is Magnify Disco Fries in a collab with Other Half. Promising hop combination here. Herbal pine upfront. Some orange and peach, but finishes with a herbal/onion/pine note.
Next is Mortalis with Ceres. Some great lemon/lime, pineapple, mango. Juicy and tropical.
Had high hopes for this Magnify in collab with Other Half, but this onion/herbal note does not sit well. Leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth, or wait that might have been the KC loss.
Either way, no contest.
Winner: Mortalis Ceres

As a Bills fan, these second half come from behinds are nerve wracking. You guys have a great qb and coach, and a few former Bills players to watch out for. Diggs got a cheer from the Bills fans week 5, and I think Mack Hollins is a very cool dude.
