There’s still plenty of time for folks to crack some holiday beers, but I’m calling it a night, BAs. It’s been great celebrating the season with all of you.

Over the three days, we achieved:

Beers Opened: 169 (compared to 121 last year)
    Christmas Trees: 38
    Winter Wonderlands: 17
    Celebrations: 11
    Santa Sightings: 10
    St Bs: 8
    Deliriums: 8
    Old Fitzes: 5
    Great Lakes: 5
    Anchors/Rogues/HotDs: 4
    Samichlaus: 3
    Scaldis Noels: 3
    Santa’s Butts: 2

    Some final superlatives:
    • Best side-by-side in front of a Christmas village: @PapaGoose03
    • Most artistic presentation of a Celebration: @meanmutt
    • Best beer tasting advocacy: @Amendm
It’s always fun hosting this, but I’m hoping @jmdrpi — or whoever is feeling it — will take over next year, perhaps with “Twelve Days” or some other format.

Wishing each of you the best over the holidays, and an even better 2026. :beers:

Might be my last entrant to this tasting. I got to add this beer to the BA DB. This is Wolf Brewing in Mechanicsburg , PA and their "Grey Wolf Winter is Coming" winter seasonal ale. 6% and features lactose, cinnamon, nutmeg and eggnog flavoring. this can got buried in my beer stash, didnt mean to age it, but no better time to open it than the Holiday beer tasting!! Thank you to @thebeers for hosting!!!

    onto my review:

I am sampling a 16 oz can at slightly chilled temperature. Can is about 2 years old and has been in my cellar for most of that time. Beer was a gift from my younger brother, and I have to admit the addition of eggnog flavoring has me a little hesitant on this one. But here we go!
The beer pours a clear copper color with a dense creamy eggshell white head of about 2.5 cm. this foam slowly fades to a sturdy surface covering that remains through the sampling. Very tight lattice forms on the sides of my glass during sips and swirls.
Aroma on this beer us full of spice with nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon mixing with a general sweetness on the nose. Maybe a little caramel but the spice is definitely dominant.
First sip reveals a lighter body with very fine and tingly carbonation. Texture is pretty smooth and the beer drinks easy.
Flavor is fairly sweet (lactose and eggnog flavor) but also decent amount of spice with cinnamon and nutmeg carrying the day. No hop character anywhere on this beer and no hint of the booze either.
this is a pretty good winter warmer, the spices carry the day but its not over the top and not super "egg-noggy". Id drink again in the winter season!
    3.96 in the BA DB

@thebeers thanks for the special mention. I'll pass along the accolades to MamaGoose03.

Since you already called it a night, you've already relieved yourself of the host duties. Great job and thanks for doing it. :beers:

Maybe we put the mods in charge or @Todd in a holiday mood so that this thread can remain open (without an official host) so that we can have a collection place to post any more holiday beers that we still have in our fridges? :hugging: :+1:

This is a super solid beer that I will buy every year, wish they'd amp up the ABV...

‘I’m down with ya, on this one — top of my December roster. They bottled a delicious Dunkelbock at 10% as recently as 2023, but it was unavailable in bottles when I visited the brewery last December. Over on Untappd, looks as if it can be had on draft around town this year. I’m headed over there later this month.

I concur @PapaGoose03. 1) A stellar performance by @thebeers whilst freezing his arse off and dealing with the ineptitude of his local HVAC options and 2) Let’s keep the thread and the spirit of the season humming with a dedicated landing spot for the holiday beers and photo fun that are sure to carry into the new year.

This is awesome!!!! Looking forward to the continued fun.

This will force my hand to grab one or two more festive beers I didn’t get yet. And like you said @russpowell I love discovering the new tunes people post.

Thanks again for the fun @thebeers and I hope you get that furnace fixed soon, damn no shows.

Thanks, Todd. I have at least 5 more holiday beers in the fridge, and who knows what I might find if I dig deeper.

Bravo, Todd. Perfect reason to renew the search for a couple of wants that so far have proved elusive (though a favorite from the previous two years, Old Jubilation, apparently was scratched from Avery’s 2025 lineup).

For us, it's just not winter until we consume our first Red Chair of the season.

Deschutes used to play a bit of a game with the artwork and hid a bit of a Sasquatch somewhere on the label. But we haven't seen that for a while. The mountain is, of course, Mt Hood.

Was in downtown Philly tonight, after dinner my wife and I stopped at this Christmas themed bar called Tinsel.

I had a pint of Great Lakes Christmas Ale, and posed for a picture with Rudloph and Bumble.

That whole bar was full of crazy Christmas art and decorations but my favorites were the Aqua Teen Hunger Force art and the mural of all of the dark Christmas folk characters like Krampus, Yule Cat, Belsnickle, etc.

Since I'm late to the Sunday party, I'll keep it short.
I recommend two regionals. First, Bad Santa (4.08) by Kerns River is a doppel close to the Bavarian masters. Second, Distinctive Holiday Ale (4.19) by Cloudburst could possibly fill the hole in my heart left by Anchor's Special Ale.
