Just a quick catch up post from last night...Lost Forty Ice Day IPA, a nice "Winter IPA" almost Celebration clone. Starting my next book which is perfect for the winter, at my parents house in Illinois.

Already had a crazy Christmas party at my Cousins house, but didn't get around to taking any pictures, there was way too much food and booze...and gambling, my family gambles on Christmas ha...which all means it was a fun night



Eventually I'll make a trip to Riggs Beer Company for some excellent German beers...and maybe some food **** pics from my Dad's Christmas roast beast later on...but I'll be posting sporadically this week, and probably next.

Lunch is a pepperoni and mozzarella stuffed chicken breast with asparagus and a Torpedo. It's 75 and sunny so we're headed to the deck chairs.

 

A tasty German Helles, while making some holiday goulash for tomorrow's visit with my sweet girlfriend and her mom!

 

Starting our beer drinking afternoon at Bahamian Brewery. After the tour we enjoyed 6 tasters. Now drinking Bush Crack, their premium lager at 5.8%:



A solid lager and the best imo of the 4 lagers we tried. Off to the market next. Cheers from sunny Freeport, Bahamas y’all!

 

Boulevard Cherries Jubilee Quad... apple brandy barrel aged... these Smotestack-y Boulevard beers are awesome.

I finally found a locally-brewed Cold IPA: Haze Bro Intervention, at Sunken Silo Brew Works in Lebanon, NJ. First time with the style and I’m impressed. Very nicely balanced. Will buy cans if they have them. Cheers!

Don't really follow the sport anymore, but will try to catch the Illinois State 1AA Championship in a few weeks. Still miss the days when a WAC team could win a National Championship, when the SWC, Pac 10 and Big Eight were strong, when conferences made sense.

All that said, go UNLV Rebels tonight!
