After more than a year of battling health issues I now have a greenlight to resume beer drinking on a limited basis. My Nutritionist says one a day, my Internist says two would be okay and my Surgeon says "Just drink Vodka and skip the carbohydrates".
I'm not a physician, nutritionist or internist, nor do I play any of them on TV...however internist advice sounds reasonable. Welcome back!
If it were me I'd take the nutritionists advice M-Fri and interinist Sat and Sun. What's the first beer you goin into?
Just two, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and New Belgian Fat Tire simply because my Neice was headed to Kroger and those two are about the best they got.
Welcome back! I'll look forward to the wit and wisdom that are always a part of your posts. And speaking of wisdom, I have a feeling that your wisdom will cause you to be more cautious than any of the medical experts. Be good and enjoy your life.
Welcome back, @Squire! Really glad to hear you’ve been given the greenlight again—even on a limited basis, that first “okay” feels huge after a long health battle. I can relate on the other side of it. I’ve had my own stretch away from beer due to health issues and grief, and coming back to it thoughtfully—with intention and moderation—gave me a whole new appreciation for the experience. Sometimes less really is more. Wishing you continued healing and many well-chosen, well-enjoyed beers ahead. It’s good to see you back around here. Cheers and good health.
Christmas gifts come in many forms don't they?! Ho Ho Ho and welcome back to the beer cruise! I sincerely hope you're feelin' good. Happy holidays!
I actually thought so too, so I searched it, and apparently it does not! It is alledgedly a favorite of low-carb and keto diet people!
