Brewers notes: Pronounced notes of white pepper and an estery fruitiness with undertones of clove and herbal hop. With a light-to-medium malty sweetness on the palate, Biere de Noel has a dry finish with a light body

Chilled 330ml bottle pours a massive white fizzy foam head over a murky translucent golden liquid

    Aroma us yeasty , cloves

Taste is yeasty , spices, cloves, white pepper

    Effervescent, fizzy

    Good beer

The beer may have lost some of the spices that it used to have, but it's still a nice drinker and I will continue to buy it as long as it's available.

    A Merry Christmas to all!

Before, during and after my XMas supper I drank a 32oz crowler can of Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter. A 2025 tap room release bought in Chippewa Falls, WI at the lodge.
Solid beer, a little simple maybe but smooth and tasty.

    Tree House Gift of Hops

Merry Christmas, BAs. I hope Santa was good to you today. Familial duties are finished for the day, and it’s time to crack open a beer — this one gifted by my brother-in-law.

GoH is OJ colored with a thin, but creamy-looking, off-white head that leaves solid lacing, even in a plastic cup.

Big cantaloupe, peach, strawberry and nectarine compete in the nose.

Cantaloupe and more muted tropical fruit show in the taste — papaya maybe — joined by some light hop burn and alcohol in the finish.

It has a full-bodied, creamy feel with tight carbonation.

I get easily bored with NEIPAs these days, but this is definitely a better example and hangs with Tree House’s earlier work. Recommended. :beers:

Aptly named, Last Christmas is my final true holiday beer for this year. It’s a delicious barrel-aged quad from Eagle Park in Wisconsin. Try to have at least one every year.

Continuing my Holiday Beers this week. Im in PA so picked up an old favorite that I never see in Connecticut. Very glad to see this one as I used to buy this by the case every winter. Hoping to have some rekindled enjoyment and nostalgia tonight with this one.
This is Penn Brewery in Pittsburgh PA and their St Nikolaus Bock Bier, its a 6% beer.

    Onto my review
    [IMG]

The beer pours a clear chestnut to mahogany color and has some ruby highlights. A creamy khaki colored head foams up about 3 cm with fluffy yet dense head. This foam slowly fades to a sturdy surface covering that sticks around through the sampling.
Aroma is clean with caramel and and toasted dark bread mixing with just a bit of grassy hop note. No hint of the ABV on the nose.
First sip reveals a medium body with very smooth texture and fine tingly carbonation.
Flavor is some caramel and brown sugar and again toasted brown bread. definitely leans on the sweeter side.
Not really any hop character nor booziness her either. This is a very drinkable beer that has a clean malty profile. No holiday spice etc, but I would gladly drink this beer again and again. Might try to bring some back to CT with me.

Crooked Stave Sleigh Queen. Label promises nutmeg and cinnamon and it doesn’t lack for that — so sharp that it bricks the malt that’s advertised. I wanted a holiday style and that’s what I got, so I’m goin’ with it!

    Frozen Keys - Talking Cursive

Not sure if this is officially a holiday beer. Seeing as how it was purchased with that intention, let’s give it a whirl, shall we? Besides, we are currently encased in about an inch of ice, so it is somewhat appropriate anyway.

This is a veteran / woman owned brewery, and they make some well done beer. This is a Cold IPA, crisp, clean hops and remarkably dry. It is more grassy than citrus and definitely has no Christmas spice (thankfully). The bitterness is fairly strong without being aggressive. A good choice for the inaugural pour into a Pretentious Glass Co., Founder’s Series Tulip glass.

Amazing voice, even with hair. Tragic life, hopefully she understands what a treasure she left for all of us to enjoy.

    Everything Naughty Ommegang

Apparently there is an alternate version of this, Everything Nice, which I was unqualified to purchase. But that is another story…

As a Blond Imperial Stout, this is unsuccessful. As a tasty afternoon diversion it is yum.

Faint coffee and nutmeg along with Drosté (chocolate/orange) in the aroma. Mild bitterness is overtaken by sweetness and white chocolate flavors. The abv is quite present, without being boozy.

too much great music to select from. Here is a new one (for me). There will be a different piece in the MidAtlantic cross-posting.

Abita Office Party Holiday Stout, 6.8% ABV. Not enough body for me, too much cinnamon & nutmeg
