I realize Mahou isn’t well liked on BA, and it truly is nothing exceptional, but for my money is the best macro-brew from Spain that I’ve enjoyed here in Madrid. Also there was a special edition (Madrid branded bottle) 4 pack on sale for €3.50 so I had to pick that up to celebrate the new year here in España like a local.
Unfortunately my previous beer glass that I’ve been using broke due to an incident on Christmas evening, so I’m using this Skol Lager one now.
Almost happy new year! 9 1/2 hours to go here in Europe.

Oddly enough, this never appeared on my local distributor's shelves, just suddenly on the reduced price table - kind of supports my suspicion that, since my local is the end of a chain of distributors starting in Erie, what they can't sell further up the line eventually gets dumped on us. No real complaints however 'cause my local can get me cases of Schlenkerla Märzen and Kasteel Rouge. Strange days indeed.
