Clear Windows. I don’t know what to think of Monks newest Window series drop? I like them all, Foggy being my favorite. This is more bitter than sweet. Not quite clear as a west coast but considered a west coast. Monks have been upping their west coast game recently. Anyone else get a hold of this one?
hell yeah, as a recovering haze boy who pretty much only drinks the clear stuff these days, but with foggy being one of my favorite hazy IPAs, I had to try it. then I see they're doing free shipping? no brainer. split a case with a few friends and got a pack of clear window, foggy, and the wc holiday one from last week. not a fan of the holiday, but clear is right up my alley. solidly bitter. been awhile since I've gotten monkish, so I was happy to see they're prices are on the lower side, maybe not green cheek low, but close also really awesome that I ordered it weds and it arrived thurs. quick turn around
Monks west coast clear can prices are okay. Haze cans are in the high end, for me. I don’t do monks much these days, but do get some cans to change the style up with Cheeky’s cans. Both play a different haze game but both are on the higher side of that game. Monks is a bit better, but I’m not much into the haze these days so I’m good with cheek haze. Plus Cheeks prices are lower than Monks.
Couple late posts.... My brother works/lives down in the OC so he brought a few Monkish beers up for the holidays. La Schmoove DIPA and So Far Down DIPA which was new. Both were the solid hazy doubles you would expect. But like most up thread, my preferences have turned back to far more West Coast IPAs and Lagers.
Monkish finally acknowledging their new Echo Park location on Instagram. Although no actual date yet other than a vague "coming soonish" caption.
Monkish Brewing's Echo Park location had its friends and family event/soft opening last night. Pretty chill space in the back side of the building. It's smaller than Anaheim or Torrance (and with only one restroom!!!) but the vibes were good. Soft opening continues tonight from 5 to 10 p.m. Grand opening is planned in two weeks before opening day.
I was just a dude driving down Sunset yesterday who saw a sign on the sidewalk reading "Monkish ← Beer" and had to investigate.

Fight broke out the first weekend of soft opening. The fuckboi hazebro Dodger fans are gonna be a fucking plague there in Echo Park.
I was there yesterday and it was chill? Don't know when this alleged fight happened, but I was there from opening till about 7. Place was packed, but the line seemed to move at a reasonable clip. It's going to be hell on Earth when it's a Dodgers home game, though.
At least it'll cut the fuckboi "HazeF00z" crowd at HpB in what i hope to be Half or more Thank Satan for that.
