Gonna start this off right by announcing Stichfass Friday tonight. It's a small beer using the last runnings from their Doppelbock brew day. Clocks in at 3.1%, perfect for damp January. Tapping at 6 pm both locations. $5 for a half liter.
Recently received a mail order box from Notch, a mix of regular beers and NA beer for "damp January". The sixer of the NA Blonde was dated from the end of November, so no issues of getting older NA beer like last January. It's also one of the better NA beers that I've drank recently. Also, I was really impressed with the Rotbier
I just got the French Disco 4-packs in, and I've been selling their variety pack as well as the Salem Lager and Kolsch 4-packs here and there. Classy beers!
I've noticed this as well. I usually get 2-3 shipments a year from them. There's definitely down times when there's less beer varieties on offer, but I haven't seen it like this since they changed to their current shipping platform. I got a really nice mixed case from them in December. I hope this is just a lull.
@Providence replying to you here since the WBAYDN thread is closed. Yup, definitely have had French Disko on draft many times, including last weekend. I was at the release this year and it was on Stichfass. Absolutely delicious.
Looks like the Notch Lager Fest is June 6th which I can make. I’ve heard good things I believe, anyone on here who’s been?
Yup, I went. It was awesome. Super chill got to meet so many brewers and obviously taste so many great brews. No lines or fuss. They were doing panel interviews with the brewers but the sound wasn't working out well. They said that would be fixed this year.
1st event was pretty great. Great beers and interactions with brewers. Tickets acquired. My only slight nitpick is that I was expecting other great Lager breweries to attend this time like Seedz and Live Oak which I heard last year they were interested in attending. Nothing against Gansett, but yeah. Just a dumb nitpick from my part though. Still, the line up of breweries looks impressive and I can't wait to consume quality lagers.
I went last time and loved it. Even the Mrs who is so so when it comes to lagers enjoyed it a lot. Too bad I won’t be around for this year’s fest but I would definitely recommend it. Speaking of Lager…..drinking Patient Nomad a Czech style dark lager from Treehouse. Excellent btw.
That's weird, just looked again and both are not there. They were last night or it was my second Haze
Beautiful day at the Speedway. Beer Garden was packed and they were understaffed but they kept the line moving.
Love seeing Notch and the Speedway busy, but the line situation is getting to be a near constant these days. Still better than hanging in Southie and its lines though
