'Add a Beer' Weekend

That's where I put them too. I don't buy the Mexico-sourced ones, so the ones I drink are brewed here in the good ol' US of A, thus American Lager is accurate. Like my logic?

 

You'll be free to do so when I start a thread for Add-a-Beer Weekend. Can't wait? Do it in the What Beer Are You Drinking Now thread and (in ALL CAPS) tell everyone that you added the beer to the database too. You'll be helping to get everyone primed for the Add-a-Beer Weekend.

 

I hadn't thought about how many non-US beers could be added as part of this campaign, but all of our international members are certainly welcome to join in.

Re: an effort to increase the Places database, I'd like to see that happen too because I use the BA database to plan my itinerary.

A few years ago I found a Michigan list of breweries that had about 100 more places than what were in the BA database, so I researched all of the missing ones to discover many were not viable additions. Most of these were wineries or distilleries that held brewery licensing but didn't brew, or the beer was such a small part of their operations that I didn't feel they should be in the BA database. I added a couple dozen good-looking places without visiting them, but with the intent of traveling to them and writing a review. Unfortunately my travels since then have mostly been out-of-state so that I've only visited 2-3 of them. But having these places in the database may have caused others to visit.

 

I hope you're available on Feb 7-8 because I'm pretty sure that's when we'll kick off this campaign.

 

Oops, I guess my focus has been too narrow. But, yes, you have my permission to participate, and I expect a lot from you (as if you have nothing else to do).

 

Nothing like doing a 2fer - adding a beer and then drinking it too. And you can then go for the trifecta by rating/reviewing it at the end.

 

Sounds like you're proof positive that it takes no time to add a beer between sets. Way to go!

 

A beer each time you add 12 beers is a pretty good reward. Pace yourself, no need foranother hangover.
