1) Kostritzer Schwarzbier (4.8%): A German Schwarzbier with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, some roast.
versus
2) Little Thistle Mist & Shadow (4.5%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark graine, earthy, and roast. Clean and dry. (Correctly matched the two blind)

German Schwarzbier versus Czech Dark Lager Battle. First is Kostritzer Schwarzbier. Dark, earthy, and smooth. Very drinkable.
Next is the Czech Dark lager. More cocoa, and roasted notes. Personal style preference. I prefer the Czech Dark.
Winner: Little Thistle Mist & Shadow

These are the three best musicians from Houston IMO

Side Note: If you want to see a wild movie, look up Passing Through. Its a 70's "blaxploitation" movie and is really good. A black jazz musician (played by Nathaniel Taylor, who you all know as Rollo from Sanford and Son), he just gets out of prison and is trying to reestablish himself in the jazz community and at all his old haunts..well big bad whitey that owns all the records labels has destroyed that community. Anyway, Tapscott did the soundtrack to that movie, one of the best jazz soundtracks integrated into a movie IMO.

Anyway, enough of that

 

Put in a full shift at work and now getting ready for some football. I am now drinking a Cranberry IPA by Thirsty Dog. Cheers.

 

Mcilhenney Alpha Therapy - pretty mild for a supposed 'MEGA - HOPPED' Mcilhenney IPA - feels/tastes like a blend of Jai Alai and Head Hunter. Jai Alai, Head Hunter > Alpha Therapy - Cheers!!

Happy Saturday afternoon! Shoutout to @AzfromOz for kicking it off! A very damp and dreary day here in SEPA. My outdoor plans have been postponed until tomorrow, so might as well do something useful. Starting off with a brothers KERSHNER “GUINEA 12” Scotch Style Ale!

Finishing off my night with this (switching to a sparkling rose, aka ‘frizzante’ vino afterward) which is an amazing raspberry lambic. Super tart, super delicious, fragrant, nothing to complain about here.

Black Plague Stout at Four Horsemen Brewery in Kent, WA. Not bad but not too remarkable. The place itself is pretty cool, though.
