All winter I wear my Hamm’s winter hat. I was at my local bottle shop and put a few bottles of Ayinger and Jackie O’s on the counter and the owner started chuckling. I made a quizzical face and before I could say anything he pointed to my hat. We chuckled and I asked if he sold more Jackie O’s or Hamm’s. He just pointed to my hat. The Jackie O’s barleywine I bought was the same price as a thirty pack of Hamm’s.
If MolsonCoors was willing to promote/advertise Hamm's beer that would be a great advertising tag line. Cheers to Hamm's!
Another sharp looking shirt. Agreed. That's a perfect line to use. A lifetime supply of Hamm's to @DavetotheB for that one.
I'm definitely angling for that Hamms Marketing Director position. Here's a few others: Hamms: It's beer that tastes like beer. Hamms: When you want to drink a beer, not form a relationship with it. Maybe you and @JackHorzempa can let me know who to send my resume to.
It would be quite interesting if MolsonCoors hired a person to promote Hamm’s but I would recommend you don’t quit your day job. Cheers!
You have to appreciate Hamm's! What a great thread! There's nothing like an old AAL to keep you centered! I like to call them "My Father's beers" but I'm getting a little old so maybe "My Grandfather's beers" is more appropriate!
The can looks the same. The glory days were before Heublein took over in 65 (before my 21st year) and tried to expand distribution nationally. They made good commercials but apparently cheapened the formula (couldn't find ref.). Oly took over in the early 70s after a short independent ownership, then a succession of other major brewer owners. It's not likely that anybody has much of an idea how any of those earlier beers tasted, and less chance that MolsonCoors would be willing to reproduce them.
Agreed. On another day I might buy the Hamm’s. Sometimes dinner is grilled cheese and others times it’s NY Strip. I like both. Cheers.
No, indifference is my guess. I will note that when she sniffed my Weyerbacher Insanity, she wretched
Oh! You think the cat's mournful, unhappy look could be related to the glass of Hamm's in the picture. Hmmm... you could well be right Jack. Good call!
