    Though maybe not as popular with BA gurus, we still need to acknowledge the existence and some of the virtues of IPAs.

    Probably mostly due to availability, Imperial IPAs are my daily go-to beer. And there are some good options out there.

    In honor of the many excellent IPAs out there.

    I very consciously selected my first beer of 2026 after the clock struck midnight. Bell's Two Hearted never disappoints.

    This is WonderStruck, a collab between Iowa breweries SingleSpeed, Peace Tree, and Backpocket. The latter two have moved their production to the SS facility in Waterloo, and I've been looking forward to seeing what good things are ahead. This is a crazy good imperial hazy, juicy and citrusy with loads of umami.
