• Thanks for sharing your excellent geode @richOutsidePhilly . Giving me inspiration for further pick ups.
• Congratulations on your local move and larger back yard @gatornation ! Looking forward to many future beers with a sunset.

My Cellar Review
WBAYDN Take - Let this warm 30 + minutes for beer to transition from too sweet to a nice raisin, plum, oak, smooth bourbon experience.

Bobby wrote this about his then girlfriend Frankie. This was the second most played live song to Me and My Uncle, a cover of John Phillips song. This song was first played June 7, 1970 at the Fillmore West in San Francisco. The Sunshine Daydream coda was still a work in progress with changing lyrics for about five more months.

Polotmavy Lager with Spruce Tips from Von Trapp Brewing. 16 fl oz can from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. Picked up 10/01/26, in reefer at distributor. $ 2.75 (including tax) ($ 0.172/fl oz). Reviewed 15/01/26, review 3672.
Final impression and summation: 4 Uncredited label art although the dog is identified. Good price point for this beer (Weak on the spruce).

A cold snowy day here on the North Coast - will be doing some indoor chores and starting some winter boat projects later today most likely...
The 4th beer from the UA NA 12 pk - very nice!

 

It's too snowy for the porch today.

Achel Tripel from De Achelse Kluis

From a 330ml bottle dated 04/06/2025. Poured into a chalice. A one finger fine white head on a hazy dark gold. Good head retention. Sticks around to the end, probably helped by the nucleated glass. Some slippery fine lacing.

Fruit and spice in the nose. Tastes of fruit up front. Some spice. Sweet at first but dries towards the end. A almost imperceptible hop finish.

A medium body and good carbonation. The ABV is well hidden. Overall a fine Triple.

Early afternoon at Dock Street South, settling in with their Futuro Italian Pilsner and a classic margherita pizza.

Futuro is crisp and quietly expressive — soft floral-herbal hop character, gentle bitterness, lean malt, and a clean mineral finish that keeps the palate refreshed. It doesn’t demand attention; it earns it sip by sip.

The pairing with margherita is effortless. Bright tomato acidity, fresh basil, creamy mozzarella — and the pilsner cutting cleanly through, resetting the palate each time.

Simple food, thoughtful beer, and a relaxed Philadelphia afternoon well spent.

 

Last night n Paris, flying home in the morning. But won’t be my last beer.
