    Happy Wednesday ba. Cold and frozen tundra here on the island. Did a nice grocery run w/ more pending snow this weekend. People here, view a snow storm, as a life/death emergency and lose their shit.

    Into it w/ Double sunshine, dipa, Lawsons. Easy buy and pop w/ plenty on the shelves,

    It was good, obviously sweeter than any hotdog I've had before, the side was great, I could have eaten a bowl of it. The proceeds go back to the school, so a good cause...cheers!

    Opaque and viscous dark pour; thin ring of tan foam inside the glass. Big nose aroma; toasted coconut and roasted peanuts; dark chocolate way in the background. The taste amplifies the smell and expands things; roasted peanuts and other tree nuts; milk chocolate and vanilla; minimal overt alcohol presence. Heavy, viscous body; smooth, slick, and silky; lip-smacking stickiness clings to the palate.

    I know Cycle close down their Florida tap room, but the question is: are they still brewing beers? I've gotten several 2025 releases (including this one), but maybe this is just house cleaning. Regardless, their big dark beers are nearly all phenomenal, and as long as they are available, I (for one) will continue to buy 'em. You should, too.

    Yes my father is not quite the spring chicken and it was about time for him to turn a grandpa.

    While he lives a bit away from us, we are in cordial terms still. He’s just a bit of a loner and happily so I guess.

    Alright. Errands run. Truck gassed + 2.5 gal 91 non-oxy for the snow machine and the GP generator just in case then hit the beer store. The roads here are absolute shite now (you couldn't pay me 1M $ to drive downtown right now) so good to be home and I'm ready for a beer. 2 city inspections passed by today: framing and insulation work that I did all passed. Very cool. Those gvt wing nutz made me pull a $60 building permit for an 11ft stud wall, but alas! it is I who pinched their fannies. Sooooo, the beer! I'll join in the Old Rasputin thread later when my new stash gets chilled but for nowsville it's Peter's Lager :beers:

    Cracked open an Untitled Art FLVR West Coast IPA this afternoon, and it’s hitting exactly where I want it to. Bright citrus, resinous edge, clean bitterness, and that crisp West Coast snap that never goes out of style. Simple, sharp, refreshing — no distractions, just well-executed hop character.

    It’s also exactly why I appreciate a well-made NA beer: all the ritual and grounding of a great brew, without alcohol dulling focus. It keeps my mind clear and steady, which is perfect for what I’m doing today.

    I’m deep in a Skyrim modding project that I’ve turned into a university-level PC skills exercise. Cleaning masters, load-order logic, patching conflicts, stability testing — treating my mod list like a systems project. Nerdy? Absolutely. But it’s hands-on problem-solving and strangely meditative.

    Good beer, stable build, dragons later. Legendary difficulty only.
