What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4843

Getting an early start here (2 pm) in Madrid because my weekend has arrived (3 days off work is great, not gonna lie). Went by an Asian market to pick up some stuff, including this Thai beer. Nothing special but could easily pound these during the summer/warm weather. The market is also kind of a self serve restaurant where you pick out ingredients to spice up your ramen, but I chose to have it “para llevar” so I could ‘Eat at Home’.

 

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar! I'd love to have easy access to Revolution brews - but parking on the Dan Ryan for two+ hours last year cured me of driving anywhere near Chicago.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Feed ‘Em to the Pigs from Riverside Brewing. 16 fl oz can from M & M Beer, Hermitage, PA. Picked up 10/01/26, in reefer at distributor. $ 4.50 (including tax) ($ 0.281/fl oz). Reviewed 22/01/26, review 3679.
Final impression and summation: 3 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Uncredited but quite grabbing label art – made me think of a movie. Bland, tasteless, slightly bitter, watered down alcohol.

Hey BA's - happy sunny Thursday.....upper 20s not so bad today - weather will be going to shit with Winter Storm Fern headed our way Saturday night - Sunday - fuck me! Another weekend with no girlfriend visits most likely due to weather - I am tired of winter!

 

I got one I am saving for next Noel.

 

We are about to get a massive (at least for us) storm, so made some beef stew. Nice and warming on a cold day.

 

Sunny and 70 so grilling a bison burger with a Coors Light.

 

Im having some dinner now that we’re approaching 7 pm here (jury is out on if I have supper later in addition), and also having the devils brew. This is a Belgian blond (guess the ABV lol) and oddly, it smells a lot like a west coast IPA. It is very citrus forward flavor wise and while I like it a lot, I could see the arguments for comparison to a lemon dish soap. At least some cilantro (which I love) adjacent flavors, and again, similar to a west coast IPA if you subtracted the hoppy bitterness but kept the remaining flavor profile.
Quite good.

 

Already got loads more crap done on my remodel project early today. Ran out of drywall joint compound so a beer is most def needed. Basically I made the executive decision to not demo the entire room but rather to leave some wall sections alone and simply tie them into the new drywall that's next. There are 2 passage doors and a 2 door closet. All I gotta do is sip beer (pre-fill) tape and skim.

Lime Lager...
