Welcome to the Saison appreciation thread for 2026! Saison, as a beer style, seems to mean different things to different people. @Todd recently undertook the task of separating Belgian Saisons from Specialty Saisons and even before that, we had the Grisette style separated out. To me (and please correct me if I’m wrong), I would say any Saison, Farmhouse Ale, Brett Beer and even Biere de Champaign would be welcomed here. Kind of how we throw any strong ale that isn’t an imperial stout in the Barleywine thread Kicking 2026 off with my first Saison and this one is always a special one. Side Project Tete de Cuvée vintage 2024. Mild sourness - practically zero sourness in terms of Side Project. Notes of white wine, oak, funk, lemons and almond. Really good. Cheers!!
Side Project Single Thread 2025. A blend of older saison and younger saison with red and black raspberries. Cheers!!
I dig the these : Saison Dupont, Hennepin, and Brooklyn's Sorachi Ace which I have not had in quite a while but remember as a very nice example of the style, with their own spin of course
