What beer are you drinking now? #4848

Thank you @Shanex for opening this morning. Have another cellar pull, this vintage three years younger than the same beer pulled yesterday. This pull was partially inspired by a former N. Y. P. D officer turned musician. Includes obligatory 1980's sax solo.

Full cellar review take linked here. Bottom line, this is similar to same as fresh despite about 18 months time, and far more enjoyable than the same beer canned 2021 at this stage.

Drinking a Moosehead Pale Ale, cause I’d never tried it and it was available to me

I expected a small step above a macro lager, like Keiths or Labatt 50, but this is actually decent. Good malt/hop balance, pleasant fruity aroma, good body. Nice surprise

 

Still AM but I need to be warmed up.

 

Canned 7/21/25 but still tasty - Cheers!!

Urban South Paradise Park American Lager

Clean, crisp and mildly rich without being sweet. For an AAL it drinks well.

I'll have a beer simply to celebrate the final flush of the Anchor Brewing/Chobani thread.
<> A fine band rehearsal last night and a BIG surprise at Chet's Liquors. I walked in and half of the shelves were empty. All the THC beverages (not my thing) were removed because a daycare center across the street changed owners and now Chet's isn't grandfathered in anymore. In 2 yrs I watched that store remove half of their beer inventory to make way for all the trendy THC shizz. This latest kerfuffle might actually kill that store I dunno. It's rubbish, a bit shocking, and I just shake my head. They still have some nice beers. I tried some fine brews last night from Weldwerks, Little Thistle, Sierra, and Summit. Loud Juice was a little boozy.


Right now I'm digging this lil' ol' Modelo Noche Especial
Brings back great travel memories and is good tasting. Might try it with a lime wedge next time.

 

Good afternoon BAs! In the 30s when we arose…trip to one grocery store, and a beer run in the can…finishing lunch and a fresh Jai Alai that was on sale:



We may hit 54° this afternoon. Bright sunny day and even though the wind makes the feels like in the 40s it’s a glorious day outside, especially for beer drinking. Cheers and have a terrific Tuesday y’all!

 

Today, it's quite cold, and there's snow everywhere (I took care of some shoveling for my lady Pamela's place this morning, after breakfast), but it's relatively decent out, here in McGregor--and I'm always one to appreciate and be grateful for even the smallest of mercies. Both cats Gracie and Sundae were very curious as to what the day's new brews were: First, with Sundae, it's my thirteenth beer from Hamilton, Ontario's Grain & Grit Beer Co.--their 6% Citra Mosaic variant of their fine Pinky Swear IPA series...

--Walkerville Brewery (nearby Windsor, Ontario; my seventeenth); and
--Waterloo Brewing (Kitchener, Ontario; my sixth)...
