Have a few more of this twelve pack picked up on clearance after the 2023 release. The bigger stores have requested much smaller allotments the past two years, so days of $5 full bottles may be at an end. Hope to make it to Dovetail later today, so not sure if I should have grabbed something this strong.

Good morning BAdvocates. I’m drinking my first Delirium Red on this sunny Thursday. Pretty impressed with this brew thus far. Strong, but yet gentle feeling carbonation. Robust cherry flavor. Good complex fruit & malt aroma. Very solid.

Gotta get out and water the lawn here soon.

RIP Cave Dave. I am crushed to hear about his passing, he was such a well respected member of our community. My best wishes to his family.

Having a decent IPA with a plate of hot chicken and over easy egg.

Wish I had something more memorable in front of me to honor him with. But this is what it is right now.

Urban South Brewing Po-Boy Amber

Apearance of dark Amber gold with modest white cap.

Scent of rich, caramely malt with a nutty undertone. Really inviting scent.

Taste on entry is caramel malt forward with a noticable but subdued nuttiness riding under the malt. Hops are there as a balancing act supporting the main players. Rich and mellow, appropriate anytime.

Today, it's still quite cold, out here in McGregor, but there's still a wonderful day to experience--and both cats Gracie and Sundae were excited to check out the day's new beers with me: First, with Sundae, it's my thirteenth brew from Bracebridge, Ontario's Muskoka Brewery--their 7% Thiol Boosted Hazy IPA...
