Greetings all and have a nice Friday.

I found a beer that’s normally hard to get. La Trappe Isid’or. @Beer-Panda can probably attest at least out of the Netherlands:

    Cheers!

La Trappe was one of the first beers in my craft journey, and was amazed by the difference in the Belgians vs. the AALs + Guinness in my life until that point. Need to buy more Triples and Quads once I clear my cellar/refrigerator and have some space and need. One less beer to worry about with this cellar pull.

Full Cellaruary take linked here. Bottom line, minimal no coffee, but do not get much fresh either. Glad this is my last one of the vintage or any kind from this brewery, now shuttered here after the free property tax rebates expired.

    Hello, @Shanex and @ChicagoJ!

Stopped at the local German restaurant on the way home from work to catch up with a mate from high school. Maisel Weisse's Original seemed like a pretty good choice at the time, and it didn't disappoint.

Apologies for the amateur focus error!

    Cheers!

Hey Jason! Anything from La Trappe and there are a few is about spot on regardless of the style. I was close to buy Guinness West Indies Porter but opted for this one instead.

I will have a second, quite different beer in a little bit or later this afternoon. Prost!

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the Bar!

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

KBS Caramel from Founders Brewing. 4-pack of 12 fl oz bottles from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. Picked up 05/02/26, $ 22.00/$ 0.458/fl oz. On room temperature shelf at distributor, stored at 40 F at home. Reviewed 06/02/26, review 3686.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited label art, basically the standard KBS label. Oddly, the bottle is slightly misshapen, being flattened on one side. The aroma and flavor are both what I expected, except for the ending bitterness – kind of unexpected for a caramel-added brew.
    Rating 4.14, rDev -2.1%
Of all the variants of KBS I've managed to find, the original, unadulterated version is still my top-rated. We'll see how the next iteration stacks up.

Happy Friday BA's! It's sunny and 50 degrees this morning in NWCF, Lawson's Double Sunshine.

Just got home from National Parts Depot. It's a tribute to Smokey and the Bandit today. Burt Reynolds was a frequent visitor there when he lived in Jupiter FL. The NPD car collection is over 150 cars many with less than 100 miles on them, a shot down row 1.

Another cold snowy day here - kinda tired of this winter....was watching some videos about the 2025 Raid Erie, a small boat gathering on the western basin I had hoped to attend....ah well. perhaps this summer!

I'd love to try the one. Not sure I've even seen it. How does it taste?

It's a great beer, I've had it before a few times.

The honey is most definitely there but not overly so.
