What beer are you drinking now? #4861

We have an interesting one here for Raul. It’s kind of a love it or hate it beer. I think one reason why people love Pliny the Younger so much is how smooth it is for being a triple IPA. Then here in El Segundo’s Power Plant, it has a little rocket fuel to it - which I enjoy. Cheers! And behave at Club Raul! If not @Resistance88 will put you in timeout

 

I like the "smoother" TIPA, if at all @RaulMondesi , the PtY, Hop Nuts in Las Vegas' anniversary beer and 3 Floyds' Permanent Funeral my favorite three off of memory.

No TIPA today, though I may pull a Permanent Funeral soon. More Cellaruary this week starting with this one bottled nearing 5 1/2 years ago.

Cellaruary take linked here. Bottom line, there was a big drop off within the past year since last sampled during Cellaruary 2025, despite being refrigerated this entire time. Bottom line, do not cellar beers, drink fresh as intended.

Temps finally going up a bit this week here on the north coast - upper 20s today and low 40s and sun tomorrow - hell yeah! Time to wash my car and chisel out some snow / ice dams on my suffering gutters!

This is a tasty Ohio made treat!

 

Good morning all. Not the most exciting Super Bowl, but yesterday's game was still entertaining nonetheless. Right now I'm drinking my first Delirium Deliria, the final brew I have left from the "Parade Pack" I purchased last month. Decent brew, a very bubblegum heavy Belgian. I'll decide how much I like the flavor once it warms.

The VB emptied out earlier than I thought it would last night. I enjoyed watching the super bowl. It's different every year. Each beer I had tasted so good and the Falling Knife Pale Ale was especially fine with my big ol' BBQ pulled pork. If the temps would just stay in the 40s I'd fire up my old smoker grill and pop a couple of big briskets in there. Damn!

I like the "Little Thing" series of beers and I need to find a few more. The Eagles Club 33 has a few as well. They even have Narwhal. SN doesn't produce many beers I dislike.

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery - Czech-Spresso
5% ABV Czech Dark Lager brewed with locally roasted espresso beans.
I liked this beer very much. It's very tasty and balanced, and the coffee flavor is so well-integrated into the beer. Nice body too for its weight class, and it also has a nice levity and high drinkability.
