This one makes me sad. One of my favorite birthdays was spent gathering a dozen friends together and heading over to Casa. A bit too far of a drive for me to go there regularly but always really loved their beers. https://www.instagram.com/p/DUtqWbOEjBa/
What a shame. Started going there shortly after they opened when they were in that little spot a few doors down. I wish everyone there the very best in wherever the future takes them.
Argh, that sucks! Really appreciated their free shipping during Covid as I ordered from them often. This really bums me out!
Huge bummer. I always made it a point to stop by their tasting room whenever I drove up and down the coast. I went up to Santa Barbara this past winter and stopped by their SB tasting room that I didn’t even know existed until my trip, although it turned out to be the last weekend it was open.
Was a member of theirs for a few years, even though I live in San Francisco after visiting them and being blown away by their Saisons (their 2-yr anniversary beer Dos Casas was pouring). We don't know why they shut down but I have to say... when I saw that they expanded to Santa Barbara, I already knew that would be the end of them. (How many breweries shut down after expansion? That's like the #1 killer...)
Agree. First time trying their IPAs was during Covid. Free shipping, no brainer. Some good beers coming from CA for sure. I did stop in on way to SB and it was worth the stop. It’s been a while since I last had their beers. So sad to hear the news.
Yeah. We never made it for that reason. We usually took I-5 on our journey to LA and SD. When we finally took 101 last Thanksgiving (to hit FW), it was too early to stop in Oxnard. Bummer that we need made it.
Yeah between it being a detour, the open hours, and still having 3-4 hours to drive afterward it tended to make for a once every couple years the stars aligning kind of thing for me.
