Rusty Can is so good! I wish the draft list was better but we've already had numerous Silvaticus beers so we can mix in a water. Its the best when the rusty can food truck is at Silvaticus.
will chime in on silvaticus... i hit them up on the way back from maine and they always have dope brews. super clean lagers. love em, go there. second wind in plymouth finally got to open the taproom in the building they've owned for 6 years (red tape, really fuckin red). decent beers, good food. plymouth is becoming a beer destination with some breweries and not far from tree house in sandwich
Does anyone know how accurate the Silvaticus menu on the website is? Or it posted on social media? My "im not on social media in January" cleanse is being extended indefinitely, I think.
My experience as an infrequent visitor is that the online menu is probably 90% accurate. Something may have kicked or run out in the last day or two and still be listed, but more often than not they will have what shows.
Popped into Backbeat Brewing in Beverly a few days ago for a pour of Soirée, their new West Coast IPA on cask. Delicious.
They also still had Old Ironsides, their Black IPA, on cask. Had that a few weeks back. Also really delicious.
I took my yearly pilgrimage to Hill Farmstead today. After cross-country skiing this morning, I let my car GPS take me over snowy backroads covered backroads. Had two beers, both of which were great - Birth of Tragedy (barrel aged Imperial Porter) and Beyond Good and Evil (Maple Syrup Version) Both pours were small and expensive. ‘being a cheapskate, I guess the price of their pours and their take aways cans and bottles is my main issue.
Surprised they're still around. I feel like I haven't seen their beers in stores near me in a very long time. Figured they fizzled out.
Just looked at this thread and checked out the Silvaticus website. They currently have not a single IPA on the taplist. How rare is that?
There’s a reason the crew from Notch goes to drink there. Silvaticus also does a great job with hoppy beer when they have it.
I don’t think they’ve ever brewed an IPA (?) I could be wrong. They typically have a hoppy pale on draft. I think. Someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to offer more information.
They very rarely have an IPA on. I say that because I don’t think they ever have, but have to confirm. I’ll get that answer tomorrow. Hoppy pale ale, yes.
