I don't do dry January, but I did a dry 8 days because I went head-to-head with the damn flu. Lost my ability to talk for 6 days.

 

A Guelph classic. Stonehammer Dark Mild.

I didn't intend to start this early, but I accidentally popped the top while rearranging stuff.

Looking like Winter is making an appearance for the next few days. 3-5 inches of snow, supposedly, overnight.

I grabbed a 740ml Pabst Light this morning. Not a bad Light Lager at all.

Mineshaft Gap (2026) from Revolution Brewing. 12 fl oz can from Revolution Deep Wood six-pack from Half Time. Ordered 20/01/26, received 13/02/26 (Not shipping until after 04/02/26). $ 17.66 (Including tax and shipping)/ $ 1.471/fl oz. Stored at 40 degrees F at home. Reviewed 18/02/26, review 3692.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited but excellent label art. To my taste, closer to an English Barleywine, but I certainly won’t quibble over nomenclature. It’s just plain good.

Celebrating another trip around the sun today, with a 6 year old + beer my lovely daughter gave me quite some time ago - quite a nice beer!

Heading down to Mansfield area after lunch, to visit with my gf, and have beer and pizza for dinner! Yay!

The biggest problem I have with Belgian Beer is that all kinds require different glasses.
Rochefort again, it is kind of a Belgian White beer triple, with Orange peel and spice infusions.
It is kind of unique, but not really what I want to taste when I drink a tripple.

Thanks to @Shanex for starting today's bar off. Sorry to hear of the issues you're currently having with the rain and floods. Heard on the radio a few days ago that it has rained in the UK for every day of 2026 so far and some places here are suffering too.
