Full Cellaruary take linked here. WBAYDN take, this is a sold beer, about a 4 at this stage vs. the 4.72 I initially rated this. Think 0-2/3 years is the best for this one, vs. a few months from four I experienced tonight.

Foggy and warm this morning before winter makes a come-back! @Whyteboar hit me with a ninja strike yesterday, apparently associated with the stout/barleywine BIF from last year - details in another thread soon. Thanks Craig - got some excellent MI brews in the box!

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Apple Brandy Barrel Ryeway (2025) from Revolution Brewing. 12 fl oz can from Revolution Deep Wood six-pack from Half Time. Ordered 20/01/26, received 13/02/26 (Not shipping until after 04/02/26). $ 17.66 (Including tax and shipping)/ $ 1.471/fl oz. Stored at 40 degrees F at home. Reviewed 19/02/26, review 3693.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited but excellent label art. Good variant on Ryeway to Heaven, although the price point seems a bit high (Although the scarcity of apple brandy barrels...)

Had to wait a couple weeks for the flu to run its course before enjoying it.

It's less related to the amazing Stout/Barleywine BIF from last year and more related to the fact that you visit the area every year and bring me beer. I found some of that OddSides that you specified (Beer with bacon? Whoda thunk it would be good?) so just *had* to send some to you.

 

Good morning BAdvocates! Snow is coming down outside, but I'm inside working on my computer so no shoveling for me just yet. I'm drinking my first Great Basin FIRELIT Haze. I haven't had a Great Basin brew since they switched over to cans but they usually make pretty solid beer. This one just ain't cutting it for me. It's quite sweet, not totally cloying but not very well balanced either. Canned 11/24/25 so not that old yet. Poured at 51 degrees, think I'll drink it at a cooler temp next time.
