Right on. I'm ready for that Sahti I mentioned earlier. Got out today right as some freezing rain fell so my errands were EZ. Selected base trim & door casing which I took my sweet time doing and got beautiful oak wood to blend in with existing foreign wood species. Mahogany doesn't have highly figured linear dark & light grain contrast so I looked for less of it in the oak. Again, mahogany wood with the Dipshit Deluxe ripoff tariffs is now a huge ripoff. No worries. Good ol' amber shellac should blend it all in. I gotta blend in a beer to my bloodstream right damn now.

From the log it's kinda heavy & smooth, smoky, gently sweet...with very subtle tang.

Fifteen Years on BA Today!

Joined February 24, 2011. Hard to believe it’s been fifteen years.

From trading notes on barleywines and Italian pilsners to debating brewery philosophy and watching the scene evolve, this place has been a steady corner of the internet for me. Some seasons I posted a lot, some seasons I just read quietly. But the appreciation for the craft and the conversations never really left.

No glass in hand tonight, but I’ll still raise one in spirit.

To the old guard, the new voices, and everyone still chasing balance, nuance, and a well made beer.
