Good afternoon BAs! Trying a gift from one of my drinking buddies - Other Half’s “Green City All-Stars” DDH DIPA with Citra, El Dorado, Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin:



Earthy grape must/dank nose. Lemon, mango, white grape, peach. Some dry dusty tongue coating. Another enjoyable hazy lite from OH.

Sunny low 60’s with a breeze. Should drop into the forties tonight. Cheers y’all!

 

Having a Fiddlehead IPA. Man, it's really hard to find fresh beer around here lately. I just looked at a couple places and walked out empty handed. 12 packs of Torpedo, but no dates on the box - they had a 6 pack in bottles with a date - May 2025, no thanks. Even Second Fiddle which is normally really fresh - Oct 2025 and Nov 2025. Just about every beer I looked at was several months old. If I'm going to pay the premium prices that they ask these days, then it better be freshq or I'm not paying it.

I also bought 4 pairs of new jeans - Levis, ended up costing me over $200 for 4 pairs. Price of stuff is ridiculous these days.

Prices being so f'n sick are makin' me seriously consider beefing up a veggie garden this year.

 

These two beers are over 30 years apart in age, and TBH the only difference is carbonation.

How is that - i picked it up and looked at it today but I didn't buy it. It doesn't look super hazy which to me is a good thing. Glad to hear that you got your power back and all the snow cleaned up as well. Cheers!

 

Sipping on a Quad called Martel from Olde Hickory in Hickory, NC bottled in 2022 and acquired last summer. This has been aged in French Armagnac barrels for 6 years and is a whopper at 14.3 abv. The oak and brandy flavors totally overwhelm the base beer. While balanced it is definitely uneven. Rated 3.89.

it’s pretty tasty but assuredly it is a hazy. I tend to find that Mast Landing does a pretty good job with them so glad I grabbed it.
