    Hoppy Tuesday, all!

Karlsquell is strong blonde ticking at 7,8%.

Sweet, overly so. Artificial taste, lacking in flavors. Not too great. I’m not a drain pour kind of guy but the last drops of this may go to the sink:

    Cheers!

Thanks, Shanex, and happiness to us all!
Scorpion Disco IPA from Pinthouse from Texas

Clean and tangy tasting brew. Bright yellow amber with plenty of foam in the Tuborg Pilsner glass. Substantial body with aromas of citrus, mango and maybe some vanilla. Rather malty taste to start and a modest sweetness. Flavors of lemon-lime soda with candied lemon peel. Quite bitter aftertaste but not acidic. Dated 02/04/26 so it’s pretty fresh for an import.

If it is that bad, pour it down the drain!

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the bar! BTW, I'm with you on not drain pouring - what you paid is now a sunk cost which turns into a perspective cost since you won't be buying another can. Being a cheap bastard, I only drain pour if the taste/smell is egregiously horrific - sunk cost baby!

Today's Old Breakfast Beer (which was a NBB back on 14/12/25):

Many thanks to @Whyteboar for this last brew from the Ninja box he sent - Craig, this is another excellent beer from Bell's - hope they keep up the stout excellence with the new ownership!

    Thanks @Shanex for the opener!
We are currently sitting in Dallas awaiting breakfast with a Mimosa for Mrs. CC and a Shanex standard Lagunitas IPA which is hitting the spot.
    Cheers,
    Tom

I started this thread in 2023. It lasted about 8 mo b4 getting derailed by some really fine folk and then axed. <> Don't be embarrassed that you have to place a beer in the river. It happens. They can't all be good.:beers:

    Happy rainy Tuesday BAs

Been a bit of a slow, but productive morning around here - sorted some seeds to get ready to do some indoor early seed starting....also repaired a raised bed planter yesterday I made a few years ago, and put fresh compost and dirt back in there....feels like spring is right around the corner!

Found a couple of 2021 Duvels in the cellar - still holds up!

Thanks for reminding us LesDewitt4beer-- this was a classic thread and well worth reading thru. However I thought it should have been called "What Beer Are You Drain-Pouring Now?"

Good Tuesday! What's that big burning bright thing in the sky? A beautiful weather week on tap here. I jammed a lot of work in ystrdy so the remainder of my week might actually be "easy"...but it's early:grin: Should probly take apart and clean my 16ga brad nailer that sandbagged on me halfway thru my install. I think I can free it. Let's deem this a task made for a beer shall we?

Wanted to go back to France 44 store for more local beers but early this morning I zipped over to the grocery to get a couple items for my lady and I ended up buying a woman's groceries for her as she was obviously struggling, was tattered, flustered, and had two scruffy kids. She didn't have enuf stamps or money and I know those kids don't eat 3 x per day. "How can you run when you know?" to quote Neil Young. So, I'll get beer next week. :kissing_heart::beers:

Lots to be thankful for with this local Junkyard Grandpa Bill's Pils DDH
This is a really nice beer. I should do a lost weekend this summer and hit this brewery. Impressive.
