Any feedback on the shamrock stout? Worth it?
I vaguely remember it being advertised previously but only in crowlers. Never tried it.

Have not had this year's but I've had most other years and it's very solid. Fairly subtle mint as @FlaviusG mentioned, but it's enough to be a worthwhile addition, and the stout base is good but not overwhelmingly thick or sweet. Very happy they switched to 4-packs because traditionally I was opening the crowler on St. Patrick's Day (or the weekend I was "celebrating" it), and that was not setting the rest of my drinking day up for success, lol.

Picked up this years Shamrock Stout and it was solid. Lots of cocoa, with hints of vanilla and wood. The mint was far in the background and only detected at the very end.

Saw the Night Cap Cuvée at a local Binny's (20.99, thank you very much) so it's out and about.

From a GI email, Single Barrel BCBS flights of the following three beers will be available at the taproom on the 13th May as part of their Anniversary celebration. Presuming bottles will be released on the same at some point?
    • Aged in an Old Forester 1910 bourbon barrel for 18 months. Then aged in an Old Forester Birthday Bourbon barrel for 34 months.
    • Aged in a Buffalo Trace barrel for 50 months.
    • Aged in a Wild Turkey barrel for 61 months.

In the past when they tapped single barrels they have been draft only. And the bottles releases were bottles only. IIRC.

Had the VR 2024 last night that @Resistance88 muled over for me last year. Magnificent I thought and it’s one of the Europe releases of BCBS this summer as they’re still offloaded surplus stock from the US Market to Europe..

Get it while you can! I found a place here with some as recently as this past February and grabbed a couple more. It's drinking mighty fine right now.
