That would be cool, we stay over on the Ky. side and trek across the bridges to the Banks, the DARA, a Reds game or two, and usually up to OTR….Wednesday to Monday Pig Weekend.

 

1) Other Half Ticker Shock (8.5% canned 12/29/25): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Strata, Mosaic, Nelson with flavors of mango, mandarin, strawberry, pink grapefruit.
versus
2) Long Live Poets in the Night (8.5% canned 12/9/25): A NEIPA from Rhode Island with Rakau, Nelson, Mosaic for flavors of orange peel, overripe melon, passion fruit, guava, white grape, lime zest. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Other Half versus Long Live Brewworks IPA Battle, both featuring some Mosaic and Nelson combo. First is Other Half. Tropical berry flower balances tropical white grape. Tropical, floral, and sweet. Amazing IPA.
Next is Long Live Poets in the Night. Tons of tropical berry, pineapple, guava, and then tropical grapes. The grape really comes through here almost like they put some grape juice or flavoring in here. Amazing what the Mosaic and Nelson combo does in this one. I don't know too much about this brewery, but very impressed so far. This was a especially fun beer battle.
Winner: Long Live Poets in the Night

 

Good stuff! Those Murphy's Stouts cascade nicely when you get it right. Which reminds me, I need to get some of those for SPD!

Murphy's is one of my favorites!! I picked up the corned beef today for SPD - it's on sale for half of the usual going price. Personally, I like the flat as opposed to the point cut. Cheers!!

Air conditioner is already on here for me...ugh...I HATE (and love it at the same time ha) the air conditioner and try to hold off as long as possible before starting to run it again...I think a very week front is coming soonish, so maybe back to kind of normal March and April for a little bit ha.

 

We got decent rain, so the North-facing yard is flooding, don't remember seeing that on the the disclosure when we bought this house, but I digress



Hot tub time. tweaked my hip back just getting in & out of MY car. Not brewery fresh,but canned in in Mid-January. I predict greatness

Good afternoon BAdvocates. Beautiful sunny day here, was planning on a short wheeler excursion but my ride wouldn’t start. When I bought it a few weeks back the battery was dead and the dealer was supposed to give me a new one. Well, I guess they decided to charge the old one instead of keeping their word. $40 battery for them and they’re still trying to pinch a penny and stick it to the customer. Great business model…

Anyways, I’m drinking a fantastic Blue Moon Mango Wheat. It has definitely become less juicy/sweet over the past couple months, and that’s not a bad thing. I strongly recommend seeking this one out.
