Last of three Extras in the Torpedo sampler pack I got a while ago. It’s a toss up between this and Electric for second place among the four variants.

Hop Butcher Fat Bear (10.5%): An American Imperial Stout from Chicago with flavors of peanut butter, chocolate, rich fudge, and sweet espresso.

First try at this peanut butter stout. Usually not a fan of the style, but has good reviews. Lots of peanut butter and chocolate upfront. Some dark fudge and espresso in the middle. Then the finish is sweet. Not much to balance the sweetness. Overly sweet, but I should have expected that. Heavy, rich, thick, sticky and sweet. Flavor is amazing on the bright side. Dessert in a glass isn't my forte and would quickly make me a fat bear.

 

Legacy, a farmhouse ale brewed with all Canadian ingredients. Very smooth. I like it.

 

It's humid here in N. GA but breezy and 75°F. About perfect. Best thing, the all out pollen assault we get every spring has yet to ramp up. April through mid May everyone in Georgia has the same color vehicle - yellow.

 

Does it have that horseblanket funk?

Not really. I am still trying to figure out the style. It's described as both a Blonde Ale and a Farmhouse Ale on the can.

 

This stuff is very nice.
