I'm in disbelief too. Hopefully we are proven wrong but holy crap. Woody should stick to shampoos.

Great tune Larry! My trusty Frank Beltrame stiletto. Love this knife, just can’t take it into California, Washington, and a few other states.

    1) Mortalis Campanula (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Nectaron, Simcoe, Cryo Pop for flavors of resinous nectarine, daiquiri, lime, and guava.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Rocklawn (7.5% canned 2/10/2026): A NEIPA from Chicago with Simcoe, Krush, HRC-003 for flavors of orange, tangerine, stonefruit, earthy greens. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Mortalis versus Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First is Mortalis Campanula. Some resinous hops. Nectarine and tropical lime and berry notes. Hints of bubblegum and daiquiri. Excellent.
Next is Hop Butcher. My first try at this one. Didn't realize it was a West-Coast IPA, wasn't labeled as such. To my surprise pours completely clear. Aromas and flavors of orange, tangerine, some stonefruit and earthy greens. Not very bitter and finish is clean. It's milder than I expected and not bitter west-coast level. It's alright, but not great.
    Winner: Mortalis Campanula
