What beer are you drinking now? #4892

Beautiful day. Got the dogs walked and I'm sitting down to watch some basketball.

 

Happy Thursday one and all!
Meetings continue to be the bane of forward progress so I decided to have a beer while others hashed out some ideas. I’m not management so my thoughts don’t matter anyway. (Not always true, but in this case, definitely)

It was the gargoyle that caught my attention, and as it was a black IPA, a style two local breweries got started with, I thought I’d try it.
Bucketfoot (Gravel Bottom) and Perrin Black are both black IPAs and very midwestern in the sense that they are balanced between hops and malts. Apparently boring sells very well in craft beer.
This is months old but is still considerably hoppier than the aforementioned beers. Rather digging it.

I feel your pain Jason. You can’t escape that type of music when you live where I do. Most new country music is terrible. Nothing but computerized rap drum beats with a horrendously off-pitched nasally singer. No one uses fiddles or mandolins anymore.

Country-Western is commercialized crap these days. Same with Rock in my mind. 95% of the good musicians are dead

Drinking a Revision Brewing Emerald Bay IPA. I first tried this beer last year and it’s not tasting any better. A solidly ok brew.

I totally agree. Autotune marked the beginning of the end for music. Only the small players who can’t afford to computerize their music are truly talented.

Was gifted a bunch of Shiner brews months ago. This is the last one. Decided to put it out of its misery. Not my favorite beer style.

WTF! 89 degrees yesterday. Today it is snowing! Been snowing for a few hours.

 

Good afternoon BAs! It’s Tampa Bay Beer Week and I’m at Grand Central Beerhouse drinking their silver medal winning “Joe & Dan’s Rye IPA”:



Good stuff! Dry rye malt base with some orange from the Cascade and Falconer’s Flight hops. Cheers from St. Pete y’all!

 

At the Fort Lauderdale airport, DFH 60 Minute. It has been a BUNCH of minutes since I’ve had this iconic beer. Absolutely love it.
