Teddie Beer - Night Shift Wow! The roast that came out of this one was through the roof. Delicious. The menu made no mention of peanut butter, which they pulled off. Past experience with peanut butter in beer has been rather disappointing, not this time.
Well this one has been in my cellar for way too long. Still a porter, just not a good one. October ‘21 is when it was packaged. Cheers!
Saw this new Baltic Porter from the Kosmicki Collection in one of my beer stores yesterday. I didn't buy it yet but there are a few reviews already: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1199/720149/
Bell's General Store didn't show availability online of Black Note so I was surprised on Wednesday when I stopped there to discover they still have some. They also had some of the Cinnamon Vanilla Black Note. I'd say there were 6-8 cases of each on the floor and more in the display cooler doors, but I didn't look further into the walk-in cooler. If you don't want to gamble on distribution, take a quick drive to Kzoo.
Had this earlier, and it’s cross posted with NBW so you can go there for more words if you want, but it’s really good. Another zero bitterness beer today, thinking that’s 3. A rare hat trick for me. Cheers!
I really enjoyed the simplicity of this drop. Nice low level of Mexican vanilla. Angry Inch White Rabbit Imp Porter 8% 3.94/5 rDev +8.2% look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4 16 oz can into a barrel glass. L: Pours darkest brown with a 2" big soapy beige head that slowly recedes to edge froth, low carbo, light random lacing. S: Chocolate, vanilla, a hint of toffee, dark caramelization notes. T: Light sweet dark chocolate, darkly roasted grains, a light hint of peanut skins, vanilla, a note of distant red grape skin. Chocolate notes are moderately robust. F: Lightly brisk then a bit creamy & smooth full-bodied mouthfeel with a medium length slightly dry finish. O: Gently sweet, great flavor and balance that leans chocolate and has a lovely finish. A superb level of vanilla, which is commonly abused and overused. I get a distant and fast-departing nutty sensation somehow with this brew. No trace of ABV. Quite tasty. It is excellent in its style.
One of the BEST porters i have ever had. Always though Bacon and Eggs from Pizza Port lacked body ( watery) but this was a fucking dream. One of my favorite beer buyers in all of Los Angeles brought this as a gift and i shared it with a few people. Pizza Port - Dusk Till Dawn Imperial Coffee Porter
