Stumbled across this picture of the late Allan Holdsworth combining music and SNPA.

Thought it might be fun to see if anyone else knows of musicians who also preferred craft beer?

Thought this series could have been cooler, as it had some serious potential, but . . .

Deftones has a beer with some brewery. Iron Maiden also had some limited overpriced beer once.
That's all i can think of

Mastodon has had several different ones. Mahr's, Signature, Mikkeller, Thin Man, and 3 Taverns for sure, but I think there might be a couple more, too.

There was a rather unremarkable beer that had the primary features of the 2112 album from Rush.
I bought a 4 pack and think I drank them all. But I really just wanted the can.

Iron Maiden's beers were very good, imo. Some classic ESB action with pretty good distro.

Off the top of my head, there was a collaboration between Dan the Automator (part of Deltron 3030) and Dogfish Head. For some reason, the project also involved Mario Batali, David Chang, and the guys behind Joe Beef.

Blackberry Smoke had some say in the beer that Mitch Steele at New Realm made for them. Still looking for someone to do a trade with for that.

Belching Beaver if I’m not mistaken. They’ve collaborated on at least half a dozen beers. Robinson’s makes the Maiden beers. They’ve brewed just as many if not more. All solid imo but yes, def pricey.

I bought a 4 pack of that last summer (Rush Canadian golden ale). Solid brew. Love the rye in it. They’ve also collaborated on half a dozen beers or more. A few are Belgian styles too.

Run the Jewels has done some collabs

Country Boy Brewing has one with Tyler Childers (who doesn't drink anymore).

I wonder if Miles' estate became difficult to work with (like Miles sometimes did himself)?

I can remember somebody (Lagunitas?) doing a couple Zappa-inspired beers, a situation that fell apart when Zappa's family decided they wanted more money.

I remember Ninkasi sponsoring a regional bands first national tour, both financially and with product, but I'll be damned if I can remember the band.

Loved how bud collaborated with Metallica and then Stone did so a short time later while Koch was still CEO. Regarding this thread, these collaborations are for marketing and I think most of these bands/musicians are more than happy drinking BMC beers at the end of the day.

Which I always thought was weird considering Zappa was pretty much abhorrently against drugs and alcohol.

I ran across this one a while back: Central Waters HHG APA. Here's the brewer's description:

And then there's Surf Zombies, from Iowa Brewing, Cedar Rapids:

That myth needs to be set aside. Frank enjoyed wine, and was not against smoking the devils lettuce. What he was against was his band using them. There's a famous story among the music industry about a couple of band members going to a crew member and asking him to get them some weed, but please don't let Frank know. Then about 10 minutes later Frank comes up, and asks the dude to get him some weed, but please don't let the band know.

Also, he had this famous quote:

“You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of football team, or some nuclear weapons, but in the very least you need a beer.”
    ― Frank Zappa
