I like stouts, and not all are Imperial Stouts and I’m intimidated adding them to the Imperial and Imperial Pastry Stout Threads, So here’s a thread in honor of regular, ordinary, non-Imperial stouts. the first is Guinness NA, which a good NA option
Drekker VIP (Very Important Pistachio) Milk Stout, 6.6% ABV. I rated this 4.04 yesterday. You're going to need (2026) appended to the thread title. Do that by reporting your first post and asking for a thread name change. You may also want to define which stout styles are included or excluded.
Looks like he just lopped off Imperial & Imperial Stupid Pastryface Stouts from the far end and left everything else behind as 'regular, ordinary, non-Imperial stouts'. I thought this thread was going to be about the American Stout. I thought wrong.
Compiling a list. Thanks for all the suggestions. I love my stouts. I enjoy imperials, too, but love to have the lower abv stouts. Not many made in Texas. Mostly super sweet, high abv imperials
Hey, didn’t know this thread existed. I have lots of regular stouts to share but normally didn’t have a place to share them. In the infamous words of Arnie: I’ll be back.
Indoor Stout from Matchless, the other brewery in Tumwater. Definitely a cozy Stout and easy to sip. Rather bitter with the burnt malt taste. Light and sudsy on the tongue. Aroma of dark roasted grain with a whiff of pine. Slightly sweet to start with a burnt malt finish. More than enough bitterness to go with the sugar, but quite interesting. Long dark aftertaste with some hoppy green notes.
