Kinslagher is celebrating their 10 year anniversary today (3/14). They're releasing their latest Ein Beer release (10.5) which is a hoppier version of their Babygold lager which they brew for Fitzgeralds in Berwyn. Just got back from there and it's a packed house.
It’s March Mildness at The Beer Temple. It’s time to retain the golden sparkler. if anyone is there, can you tell me if the dimple mugs will last till Sunday? If not, can someone possibly get me one? I’m going Sunday at open.
They ever going to announce the breweries. Haha. I’ll be there. It’s a reasonably priced ticket for some very good brews.
an incredible time as always. They poured more than 1,000 pints of mild for the three days and retained the golden sparkler. they did have glasses still. I’m officially a dimp simp.
Beer Under Glass tickets are on sale now. Haven't been there since the Garfield Park days, but the new venue looks pretty cool. I'm tempted to go this year. Date for BUG is Friday, May 8. Ticket info is below. https://www.universe.com/events/bee...is-theater-in-downtown-chicago-tickets-HZP982
[URLs snipped to save bandwidth] Greetings. Yes, yes, I am popping in here. I have some significant news collated from the Illinois Craft Brewers' Guild. It should not be limited to the LTH Forum or any other W-WW site. Which breweries are no longer members of the ICBG (Spring 2026)? Art History {Featured in Winter 2026 issue!}| Geneva Lager Works, Flapjack {defunct?}, Foreign Exchange, Sundial, Banging Gavel, Is/Was, Monochrome, Neuronova {Featured in Winter 2026 issue!}. Which ICBG breweries are not participating in the Summer passport program? Demo, Dovetail, Guinness, Half Acre, Industry Ales, Lake Effect, Marz Community, Middle Brow, Moody Tongue, Ramova, 93 Octane {on the cover of the ICBG magazine!}, Blume & Ferris, Crust, Whiskey Hill, 9th Hour, Double Clutch, Ekaloka Fermentory, Harbor, Mickey Finn's, Lucky Monk, Une Annee | Hubbard's Cave, Whiskey Hill, Arrowhead Ales, Brothership. It would seem you should get a seal for someone at Pilot Project (both locations)? Lake Effect's W-WW site has been misspelled in the last two issues. There are two breweries on N. Broadway, which has no suffix, but the ICBG magazine lists them as "Ave" and "Street". And unfortunately, its 'passport' is the same color as the genuine United States Passport. Why not a beer colored passport (beige, brown, gold)? I should have received at least a year's membership to ImBiBE for all the breweries I visited last summer, not that I would use them for an additional hour at either of its events. I still haven't learned who won the gift cards last year. I would do a better job of proofreading the ICBG magazine, but it is already antagonistic to me. I have tickets for both C.B.S.' 'Legends of Lager' event at Duneyrr Fermenta Winery and Brewery on 18 April, and BUG [c.v.]. I shall also be appearing at CBS' Big Brew on 2 May, at Tim Norris' house on Chicago's northwest side. I will bring sausages from the outdoor freezer here.
Goldfinger is doing a Maifest this Saturday 5/16. Food trucks, two bocks on tap, music and even having a Maypole. I saw their post on FB but their website only mentions it in their food truck section....
Actually Brothership IS stamping passports, the passports seem to misprinted and they seemingly got stuck between pages and left off. They are on the website listed but not the passports, and they got sent passports and stamps and have been using them, I got stamped the other day there no problem. They should really consider just going digital or something lol, I get people want a physical thing but why not do both for the people who miss out on the physical passport? At the end of the day it’s all just exposure and much needed business for state breweries and you should want to push that as much as possible imo.

Tickets for the 19th annual Oak Park Microbrew Review are on sale now. Still one of my favorite beerfests in the Chicagoland area (and one of the oldest). Easy to get to with the Green line and Metra stopping right in downtown Oak Park a few blocks east of Harlem. Says its got around 40ish breweries participating but will post the final tally as we get closer to the event. Would love to do a meet up if anyone is interested. Saturday, August 22nd General Admission: from 2pm-6pm- $65.87 VIP (12:30pm - 6pm): $119.22 https://www.eventbrite.com/e/19th-a...eview-tickets-1985820847612?aff=oddtdtcreator
