    Yesterday Old Style Discussion:
1309888[/URL]]@LesDewitt4beer - They mostly serve bottles of all AALs, but I got served a 12 oz can of Old Style and assume they sold out of bottles. Sorry you can't get it in Casper anymore @Bitterbill

Sadly broke one of these Chimay glasses a few hours ago while washing dishes, but have a few spares from a buy a four pack get a glass special enjoyed several years ago.

Good morniing everyone, and thank you to ChicagoJ for starting us off. Here I have a Southern Sky Tropical IPA with a lovely Bird of Paradise flower from Kings & Daughters Brewing in Oregon.

Inviting aroma of honeydew melon and grass. Light fruity taste of melon with a squeeze of citrus. Interesting for the modest alcohol content, and if you wanted to call it a Pale Ale I would find that fitting. However it's hardly hoppy enough for APA. Not complaining, since it's so pleasant and drinkable, whatever it is. Brewed in Portland, according to the label.

Good day, drinking la Trappe Quadrupel.

A very moody day, at least weather wise. Rain showers, sun, cool to mild… cheers!

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar! @mactrail - sorry I didn't give you credit for opening yesterday's thread - for some reason (probably a TIA), I though @Beersnake was the party involved, hence my reptile report.

No New Breakfast Beer today, just one of the two daily drinking beers I buy by the case:

Happy hump day ba. Long day off, largely unsupervised, so this could get interesting. Looking forward to the baseball season start, tonight, and opening day tomorrow. Although the season starts a bit to early for north east temps.

Up and at it w/ for real my last can of heady. Managed to score three more from yesterday and I’ve made quick disposal,

On the TGV from Strasbourg to Paris. Pretty cool to be drinking a beer on a 200 mph train.

I am an expert in air travel, flying almost every week, but I’ll admit to being a little intimidated by the European rail system. I think I figured it out. I have a ticket. And am on a train. I’m somewhat sure it’s the right train.

Hello BAs. My beer fridge interior looks pretty spiffy all of the sudden. Brushing off the option anxiety powder coat, today's starter is from @beergoot and it's Westfax Tears Of Our Enemies Scottish Ale 7.1%
"Do you have any Scottish in you? Would you like some?"

I'm back with this offering from New Holland and to me, it's very disappointing. Coffee and Bourbon clash and make my palate squirm. I don't know why stores in Casper insist on picking up NH beers. I had 10 of their beers and only 2 I rated above the average; both are retired.

I miss the big beers from Epic, Deschutes, Avery. :slight_frown:

    Prost!

Back at it ba w/ another local brewery here: Peanut butter Boris, variant ris, spider bite brewing. The base ris is pretty good and has won some decent state awards if that matters at all.

Robust and chocolate malt forward. The peanut flavor is subtle, not overly sweet, and offers a decent complement to the malt. Full bodied but it does come off a bit chalky at times. The 10% abv doesn’t hurt. Decent but I’m not in love w/ it,

That previous Scottish Ale was dynamite! TA @beergoot
I didn't get back to the store for Kasteel Donker @Shanex due to the sliding floor and moving panels of my schedule which are subject to quick change...but I will get there. Hopefully there's a few 4pks left.
Anyhoo...yes. I do have a vice for Dunkel. :sunglasses:

Sept 10 '25. Will go for it no prob because I've had older German beers that were just fine. I've gambled in the past and did quite well. Cheers!:beers:

A few life lessons I learned from @beerloserLI in my travels at BA
    Let’s Git This Shit Started
FaceBook down the street on the left
Ass,Gas, Grass: nobody rides for free

    Today I add another:
Long Day Off, Largely Unsupervised, This Could Get Interesting.

continuing this theme I decided to spring clean the beer fridge bottom drawer where I stash some shitty beers because I’m too cheap to toss them.
Today is the day to sample and decide the shittiest beer in the house.
    1) Ommegang Hop Water: as advertised, it’s not bad
    2) Lawson Cosmic Shift: canned 6/25 sucked in the summer
    3) Lawson Juice Stand: canned 6/25 more sour than my actual sour in the line up
    4) Beer Tree Foggy Valley: neither expressive hop flavor or bitter, pick a side, any side
    5) OH Florida Plates: too fucking something, maybe made by AI
    6) Wayland Peachy: the clear winner actually very tasty balanced peach flavor sour, I guess I put this one in back of every beer I had since summer.

    @beerloserLI new theme song
    It’s true
I data input all I know about this guy
    ChatGPT spit out this result
done with the sour now I’m sure I’ll prolly so sips/ some sink pours
    Cheers BAs
