#2, from the can. It’s more ….. attenuated. Nicely bitter and incredibly dank, it’s weedy cubed. Absolutely love it.

So this is how they want to serve us? What the heck, do they hate us? I mean Düsseldorf is a town famous for Altbier, one of Germany’s oldest and most historic beers. Truly a great beer, it’s an Ale, but ferments with a special cold-tolerant Ale yeast, and is then lagered for months, producing a smooth finish. Great beer!

But the glasses. ugh…. Yep, here is the “becher” or “beaker.” That’s what they want you drinking Altbier out of. Dozens and dozens of these pathetic, diminutive, sissy little baby “WIMPIFIED” glasses of beer. LÄCHERLICH!!!

Never fear, old Beermeister32 has your back! You don’t have to put up with this! I’ll polish off these embarrassing glasses of delicious Enegren Valkyrie Altbier, not to offend you!

As you know, here at Rancho Beermeister32, we already re-named the pathetic little blechers, into the much more descriptive, appropriate and laughable “THE DINKSTER!!!”

Historic rival town Cologne is just dust down river from Düsseldorf and uses the equally ridiculous Kölsch beer glassses called the “stange.“ Well, we re-named that one too. The stange is officially re-named “THE DORKSTER!!!“

So we have THE DINKSTER and THE DORKSTER! Fitting names for absolutely ridiculous glassware. ‘I’ll take 5 more DINKSTERS of Alt!!!”

I mean, c’mon, we’re BEER DRINKERS. We need the biggest, baddest serving you can fit into your Maßkrug, not some little tiny babyflaschen designed by some crafty glassware salesman out to sell more glasses! Prost!

 

Checked out a new brew pub near me. Had the Constant Companion Kölsch style beer 4.8%. It's a much lighter bodied and less expressive beer even for the style. It was a good pairing with crawfish mac & cheese. This place has the right idea on the beer list: kölsch, Bohemian Pilsner, English Dark Mild, and America. IPA; so a nice variety plus a couple of local brewery guest taps.

I love the regular Narwhal, and I have to say that when I drank my first BA Narwhal I was solidly disappointed. Like I said though, it’s grown on me somewhat and I’ve begun to develop a taste for it.

I don’t blame you for the drain-pour though Larry, life is too short waste on mediocre beer!
