Faded out yesterday without capturing my final repetitive beer plus booze. Just happy to find Zombie Dust on draft nearby, and a fun friend outing.

This is more of a wake, with the first of two planned weekend visits to closing Chicago breweries. Full review linked above below, full New Beer Weekend #297 take linked here. Bottom line, this is a solid Kolsch I’m glad I had chance to try. Have a Dark Kolsch planned next.

One of my favorite Houston area breweries have announced they are closing at the end of April. True Anomaly, they have always done excellent mix fermentation and foeder aged Saisons and Wild Ales. As well as Flanders Red and Bruin's. Mostly when a brewery closes in Houston, it has usually been a FAR inferior one. so this is probably the first really legit good brewery closing in the area, in a long while.

Anyway...here is to True Anomaly...Ambrosia Reserve Wild Saison, foeder aged with tea. This is really good as usual.

Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook spinning...brilliant. This double LP should also help kill the time before my Fighting Illini play later today

ISIL cross-post. Founders Brewing KBS. On tap. Same price as any other beer. Bartender assist with the beer-art. At the local golf course. I left my couch figuring there were no rich, scandalous ladies there, so I might go where they might be. Needless to say, discussions involve Tiger Woods. And me, scolding everyone for not drinking cheap pints of this beer.

That is awesome in of itself! Just a heads up - we'll be doing the next Beer Zoom on April 3rd at 7 pm EST. I know that's pretty late for you, but if you're able to make it, that would be excellent my friend!

We really enjoyed chatting with you on the last one.

    Cheers!

It could probably change, given the day. I know Pizza Port is definitely in the conversation. Cheers!

Should this be considered Germano-Irish fusion cuisine?
