Always liked this one. Haven’t had it in a while, but if I ever needed to make a significant reduction in my beer budget, it would be on my short list of regulars.

But I have to somewhat disagree on this. Yes, some of the Little Things are very similar. But many are VERY different from one another. Big Little Thing vs. Mellow Little Thing, Crisp Little Thing vs Citra Little Thing...

100% agree on the variety pack issue. I love Rad Little Thing, but it's in only available in their current variety pack, which means I need to drink Cosmic Little Thing and Peachy Little Thing.

Eff that.

 

If you can... Run up to the store and load up on as much Elevated IPA as you can. That brew is fire

OK, you knew I was going to follow up yesterday’s conniption fit over “THE DINKSTER,” the ridiculous Alltbier glass used in Düsseldorf. Upriver is Cologne, where they caught the same illness that the Düsseldorfers apparently succumbed to, the equally non-utilitarian "stange," or in Beermeister32 World, “THE DORKSTER!!!”

Honestly, have you ever tried to manually clean one of these things? Usually “form follows function” right? I mean the locals are good at design and engineering, what the heck happened here? Totally contrived drinking glassware!!!

Anyway, this is the 330 mL size. Ordinarily, you are stuck with the even more pathetic 200 mL size. The 330 ml size is just right for the equally infantile and wimpy 11.2 ounce (11.2 ounce… REALLY !!!…) 330 ml European bottles. Ugh, spare me! Ship over some 500 ML versions already!

So the whole idea is that this somehow concentrates aroma better. Whadda Joke! ME THINKETH NOT! …. SALES PITCH! I can barely get by lips to seat comfortably on the 2” mouth. I prefer a BIG glass to bury my face in the foam!!! RIDICULOUS!

So there you have it folks. Oh yeah, the Kölsch beer is great. Just be glad you are drinking out of your big 16 to 25 ounce, regulation-brim BEER glasses. Can you imagine an evening trying to get enough beer out of these things?

 

Love this brew from Lupulin out of Big Lake Minnesota. Over 4 lbs per barrel of Pacific Northwest hops. I can definitely taste it. Chunks of resin added as a bonus. Tremendous! Cheers

 

Been drinking this stuff since 2012 and it's almost always in the fridge. Thought it was a good choice to have given the dissertation was about the Rio Grande, and this beer comes straight out of the river (though it does have some San Juan and Chama River waters, too). Cheers...

 

Another experiment - for science, of course - with Alchemist hops. From the glass, it is drinking exceptionally well, with lots of dank, weedy flavors accompanied by tangerine and grapefruit notes. Absolutely love it.
