Get some Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen too if you can. I drink all kinds of hazy double IPAs that regularly score 90+ on here and the Germany breweries still IMO make the best tasting beer that you can buy. It's so smooth and good.

Troegs released Flying Mouflan this past Friday (first time in a number of years). Was down in Baltimore seeing a customer with our other rep. Have to drive right by Hershey on the way back to Eastern PA.

Not a meeting beer this time, but rather annoyed at my old boss and how petty and petulant he is. So took a break, went for a walk and came back to work. This time with a beer.

Had planned to do a black and tan on St Patrick’s Day but either forgot or decided to drink something else.
    Tasty, no frills lager.
    Cheers!

Not much flavor and malt backbone, pretty mundane actually. Bigfoot blows this out of the water.

    1) Back Channel Zero (5.25%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, light roast. Smooth.
    versus
    2) Fair State Black Pils (4.9%): A German Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark grains, bittersweet cocoa and earthy notes. Bitter and roasted. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Dark Lager Battle. Finishing off some of the darker lagers as the winter wears off. First is Back Channel. Dark, some cocoa, smooth. Excellent.
Next Fair State with a Black Pils. Crisp, cleaner, and was more bitter when fresh, but age is showing a bit as this is from late last summer. I thought this was better when fresh, but I call it as it is today.
    Winner: Back Channel Zero

    G'day all!

I'm sipping on this Brown Ale from Mountain Hops Brewhouse on this sunny but rather cold day. This has been delivering since it was born in 2020.(opening of Mountain Hops)

    Prost!
